About "The Legacy/Last Days" conceptual photography series using Fujifilm Instax film

*Starting in 2016, The Legacy/Last Days Project is a social commentary film photo series that asks specific questions:

1) With only 24 hours to live, what would you spend your time on?

2) What do you want to be remembered for?

3) What do you want your legacy to be?

Born from the passing of her Godmother, Marjory Smarth, Gyasi has collected a variety of unique responses from pop culture icons ranging from food requests, detailed manifestos and one word affirmations.

The project's purpose is to spark thoughtful conversation, inspire accountability, and hopefully light a fire under the ass of the viewer to live his/her life with more vigor. asks people to define legacy in a sentence.

This conceptual photography series uses Fujifilm Instax film and is an ongoing existential art project with 200 + participants. The series serves as inspirational art for those dealing with an existential crisis, depression and anxiety.

*W’19 is an extension of the project dedicated to NYC’s female creative population.
